Are You Gonna Do It?

Are You Gonna Do It?
It’s hard to leave Apple, even if you want to, if Steve Jobs wants you to stay.
You would have to talk to him and have a special conversation where he would make you think things differently, and this often worked to change people’s minds.
One day, some of us were discussing ways to resist Steve’s persuasive power.
“I’ve figured it out!”, said Burrell. “I know the best way to stop doing something that will make it seem like it never happened.”
We also wanted to know how he did it.
“I’ll just go to Steve’s office, pull down my pants, and pee on his desk. What could he say to that? I’m sure it will work.” We laughed, thinking no one, not even Burrell, would have the courage to do something so crazy.
Note: The original text is a bit crude and provocative, but the rewritten text keeps the same tone and sarcasm while using simpler language.
After a year and a half, it was finally time for Burrell to leave. For months, he had been having trouble with some managers, including Bob Belleville, who wanted to stop working on a special new Mac computer project.
This project, called “Turbo Mac”, was supposed to be faster and have a bigger hard drive, and Burrell was working on it with Brian Howard and Bob Bailey.
Burrell told Bob and the people in charge of employee problems that he was leaving his job. He then made an appointment to see Steve later that day. When Burrell went to Steve’s office, he was surprised to see Steve smiling at him.
“Are you going to do it? Will you really do it?”, Steve asked. Steve had heard that Burrell was going to do something mean and was wondering if it was true.
Burrell looked Steve straight in the eye. “Do I really have to? But if I have to, I will.”
When Steve looked unhappy, it was clear what was going to happen, so Burrell got up and left the office, no longer working for Apple.
